Someone once said, "If you look deep within, you will find a brilliant light."  In the natural world, light can only penetrate to certain depths. As a result, certain organisms have adapted by creating their own light. That quote has often spoken to me as an educator, child care director, clinical researcher, hospice worker, and today as a counselor. I have come to believe possibility can be found in the midst of adversity, there is power of the human spirit, and that 24 hours can mean the difference between a blizzard and a deep blue sky.

Life's journey can pose significant challenges that can tend to make us feel lost, alone, and in the dark.  Facing those challenges can mean exploring the depths of who we are and seeing our resiliency - perhaps for the very first time.  I consider it a privlege to work with clients who entrust me to become a part of their journey.
